"This thesis explores the interaction between Dove prisms and vector vortex beams, where polarization and orbital angular momentum (OAM) are intrinsically coupled. Unlike separate polarization or OAM analyses, our findings—supported by simulation, and experiment—reveal complex behavior, including intermodal phase shifts and transitions between azimuthal, radial, and hybrid polarizations. We developed an extended Jones matrix and MATLAB simulations that align well with experimental data. Additionally, we introduce two novel vector beams: Vector Vortex Pearcey-Gauss and curvilinear polarized beams, characterized by unique electric field patterns, advancing vector beam manipulation for optical applications." | |
