"Atmospheric turbulence is a challenge in free space optical communication due to refractive index fluctuations from temperature variations. This research studies turbulence's impact on entangled photons with Orbital Angular Momentum using Laguerre and Helicoidal Ince Gauss modes. Entanglement is measured through concurrence using quantum state tomography. We extend Laguerre Gauss modes investigation with non-zero radial indices, an unexplored approach. We study concurrence of Helicoidal Ince-Gauss modes against turbulence, less researched before. Findings show higher cylindrical symmetry modes better preserve entanglement against turbulence scintillation, crucial for free space optical communication protocols relying on entanglement preservation."
